The Opportunity
As they continue to grow, we are seeking an experienced Regulatory & Compliance Manager to ensure their procurement operations remain fully aligned with evolving legislation and regulatory frameworks. This role is pivotal in safeguarding the legal integrity of our procurement processes and supporting our teams with expert guidance on compliance matters.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure full compliance with Public Contract Regulations 2015, the Procurement Act 2023, and the Procurement Regulations 2024.
Oversee FTS tendering activities, ensuring legal and procedural accuracy.
Provide expert operational advice on procurement legislation and regulatory requirements.
Monitor and respond to changes in procurement law and policy, embedding updates into business practices.
Lead the development and maintenance of compliant procurement documentation, including standard templates and terms & conditions.
Liaise with external legal advisors on complex or high-risk matters.
Support the resolution of legal challenges and mitigate compliance risks.
Deliver training and guidance to internal teams on legal and regulatory topics.
Maintain and enhance internal governance tools, including the Procurement Internal Manual and standard operating procedures.
Manage document control and ensure legal consistency across procurement activities.
Provide advice on related legal matters such as TUPE and GDPR.
Support the maintenance of e-tendering platforms and ensure regulatory alignment.
Person Specification
Methodical, analytical, and compliance-driven with strong influencing skills.
Extensive experience in procurement, ideally within the public sector.
In-depth knowledge of UK public procurement legislation and policy.
Relevant professional qualification (e.g., MCIPS or legal equivalent).
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Ability to interpret and apply complex legal frameworks in a practical context.
