About the Role
Working closely with the Accountant, you’ll take ownership of daily finance routines and help keep everything running smoothly as the business scales.
Your work will cover:
• Processing purchase & sales invoices and posting to Sage Cloud
• Completing bank reconciliations and handling cash banking
• Updating Excel trackers for profit analysis and reporting • Chasing invoices, receipts and expenses
• Supporting the Commercial Director and wider team with finance and admin tasks
• Looking for smarter ways to work, automating where possible and encouraging process compliance
You’ll play a visible role in helping non-finance colleagues follow the right processes so the numbers truly reflect what’s happening across the business.
The Ideal Candidate
• Strong bookkeeping experience across AP/AR, bank recs and cash handling
• Sage knowledge essential (preferably Sage Cloud)
• Solid Excel skills (lookups/pivots useful)
• AAT qualified or QBE with good experience
• Confident communicator who can build rapport and gently influence others
• Hands-on, organised and detail-focused
• Comfortable working 2 days per week in Elland (licence preferred for banking runs)
