We’re working with a reputable main contractor in the North West who delivers a wide range of public and private sector construction projects. They’re looking to appoint an experienced Estimator to support ongoing tendering activity across new build and refurbishment schemes. This is a permanent role offering exposure to diverse project types and values, with a strong emphasis on collaborative working and early-stage client engagement. Key Responsibilities: Reviewing tender documentation and preparing cost estimates Producing bills of quantities and pricing labour, plant, and materials Coordinating subcontractor enquiries and analysing returns Attending site visits and liaising with client teams Supporting preconstruction planning and value engineering Preparing risk assessments and adjudication reports Contributing to cost planning and early-stage feasibility advice Ensuring smooth handover of estimates to delivery teamsIdeal Candidate: Previous experience in estimating for main contractors Strong analytical and organisational skills Proficient in estimating software and general IT systems Comfortable working independently and within a team Holds relevant construction qualifications Able to manage deadlines and work under pressure Positive attitude and commitment to continuous improvementThis is a great opportunity to join a contractor with a strong regional presence and a collaborative working culture.
