An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Band 5 Registered Nurse to join the Neurology service as an MS infusion nurse, currently based at Nevill Hall Hospital. The unit is nurse-led and cares for patients with an MS diagnosis. If you are a dynamic nurse seeking a new challenge in a patient-centered environment, please get in touch.
You must have training in cannulation, venepuncture, and IV medications to qualify for this role. The position is for 22.5 hours per week, with no nights, weekends, or bank holidays. The base location may change to The Royal Gwent Hospital, Newport.
Main duties
Within the MS Nursing Team, part of the Neurology Directorate, we seek an experienced Registered Nurse to provide care and support to patients receiving infusion treatments. The role involves direct patient care, proficiency in cannulation, venipuncture, and IV therapies, along with administrative tasks such as managing inquiries via telephone and email, and monitoring laboratory results. The MS infusion nurse plays an essential role in comprehensive patient care and must be flexible to work across any hospital site within the Trust if needed.
