🔧 What You’ll Do
* Tackle technical quality issues and support our quality team.
* Deliver advanced technical specs to the sales team.
* Collaborate globally with Far East technical and manufacturing teams.
* Represent CMD at industry events and trade bodies (BEAMA, FIRA).
* Advise on compliance with BS/EN/IEC and UL standards.
* Conduct site visits for electrical inspections and testing.
* Liaise with compliance test houses for product certification.
* Guide CMD on legislation, EU directives, UK building regs, and energy-saving initiatives.
🎓 What You’ll Bring
Must-Haves:
* HNC in Electrical Engineering (or similar).
* Proven experience in a technical leadership role.
* Deep knowledge of BS/EN standards (e.g. BS 1363-2:2023, BS 7671:2018+A2:2022).
* Skilled in electrical testing, fault finding, and calculations (Amtech).
* Familiarity with European directives (LVD, EMC, RoHS, WEEE, REACH, RED).
* Proficient in Microsoft Office and CAD.
Nice-to-Haves:
* Qualifications in portable appliance testing and building regulations.
* Experience with RF and Wi-Fi systems and software.
