Not Another Practice Role. A Different Way of Working. You know how accounting firms are supposed to work. Rigid hierarchies. Endless chasing. Firefighting at deadlines. Compliance treated like a necessary evil instead of a discipline. This isn’t that firm. This is a digital-first, tech-savvy accounting business built for modern companies — and modern accountants — who believe the industry can work better. Fully remote. Systems-led. Proactive. Calm. High standards without the chaos. And they’re growing fast. The Role: Where Order Meets Momentum This is a Pracrice Compliance Manager role for someone who enjoys being the person who makes everything run properly. You’ll own statutory compliance end to end across a portfolio of growing digital businesses — not as an admin function, but as a core operational pillar. This is a role for someone who: Loves structure and ownership Enjoys coordinating people, deadlines and information Isn’t afraid to chase, push and follow up Gets satisfaction from calm, predictable delivery You’re the conductor. Others play the instruments — you keep the whole thing in time. What You’ll Actually Be Doing You’ll take full responsibility for ensuring nothing slips through the cracks: Managing Companies House filings and statutory records Handling HMRC registrations and agent authorisations Owning payroll delivery and submissions Coordinating year-end accounts with accountants producing final outputs Running directors’ Self Assessments from start to finish Managing onboarding, AML / KYC and client compliance workflows No hand-offs. No ambiguity. No “someone else is dealing with that”. Just clear ownership. Why This Appeals to People Leaving Traditional Practice If you’ve worked in practice, you’ll recognise the pain points: Chasing clients with no structure Scrambling at deadlines Limited autonomy Being great at your job but never quite in control of it This role flips that. Here: Systems drive delivery, not panic You’re trusted to run your area You work fully remotely — properly remote, not “remote but…” Your role grows as the firm grows It’s still compliance — but done intelligently. What “Good” Looks Like Here Success isn’t measured in hours worked. It’s measured in outcomes: No missed statutory deadlines No penalties Clean, audit-ready records Accountants receiving complete information without chasing Smooth, predictable year-ends Calm delivery — even at busy times If you’re someone who takes pride in things running well, this will suit you. Who This Is For You’ll bring: 2 years’ experience in UK accountancy practice AAT / ACCA part-qualified or qualified by experience Strong knowledge of Companies House and HMRC processes Confidence chasing clients and third parties Energy, independence and ownership mentality You don’t need to be loud. You do need to be switched on, proactive and organised. What You Get in Return Fully remote working - say goodbye to daily commutes and get the ultimate balnce in work and life! £30,000 – £39,000 salary (depending on experience) 25 days holiday plus bank holidays Employer pension contributions Clear ownership of a critical function Real progression into compliance leadership or practice operations as the firm scales The Bigger Picture This isn’t a stop-gap role. It’s a chance to join a modern accounting firm that’s deliberately doing things differently — and to grow alongside it. If you’ve outgrown traditional practice but still love the discipline of doing things properly, this could be exactly the change you’ve been looking for. Happy to share more in confidence.
