Learning Support Assistant
Location: West Bromwich
Duration: Full-Time, Ongoing
Salary: £95 – £105 per day
The School/Role
We are seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join our inclusive and dynamic school community in West Bromwich. This full-time role involves providing support to students with diverse learning needs, ensuring they have access to an inclusive and enriching educational experience.
Key Duties
* Individualised Support: Provide tailored support to students with diverse learning needs, including 1:1 assistance and small group interventions.
* Classroom Assistance: Assist teachers in delivering lessons, adapting materials, and implementing strategies to support student learning.
* Behaviour Support: Support positive behaviour management strategies, fostering a safe and respectful learning environment.
* Personalised Learning: Work collaboratively with teachers and SENCO to implement individualised education plans (IEPs) and monitor student progress.
* Communication: Maintain open and effective communication with teachers, parents, and external professionals regarding student progress and support needs.

Requirements
* Experience working with children or young people in an educational setting
* Understanding of diverse learning needs and strategies to support student learning
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
* Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
Desirable
* Relevant qualifications or training in education, childcare, or special educational needs
* Experience with specific learning support programmes or interventions
* Level 1 safeguarding certificate
* Recent school-based references
* Valid Photo ID – Driving Licence or passport
* Full DBS – on the update service or willingness to obtain a new enhanced DBS
