The Role
We are currently seeking a SIPP Consultant to join our Self Invested Pensions Team. XPS Self Invested Pensions is part of XPS Pensions Group. We manage relationships with thousands of clients and hundreds of professional financial advice firms. Our team looks after SIPP and SSAS client assets worth £2.5bn. We provide personal contacts and a client-focused service. Our success comes from intelligent, self-motivated individuals who work both independently and as part of a team, delivering excellent human-to-human service to clients and advisers.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide excellent customer service with clients at the heart of everything we do
* Demonstrate understanding of all training leading to the management of a portfolio of SSASs or SIPPs
* Meet and exceed customer expectations while maintaining department service standards
* Take ownership of all queries and issues raised
* Ensure fee management principles are adhered to
* Actively update Swift or SSASMAN and all relevant databases
* Ensure compliance and SIP department processes are followed at all times
* Attend client meetings as required
* Maintain high-quality work that meets department standards
* Adhere to portfolio management principles and professional writing standards
* Have awareness of all types of Self Investment: initial aspects of Property, Member Benefits, including Transfers, Retirements, Deaths, Divorce, Protection, Lifetime and Annual Allowance
* Take guidance to achieve sign-off on all work types
* Work with your manager and as part of a team to achieve targets and respond to department needs
* Proactively suggest improvements to department processes to improve efficiency
* Participate in project work and ad hoc tasks as required
Essential
* Organised, methodical, and logical approach to portfolio management
* Ability to apply a common-sense approach to situations
* Good time management skills
* Positive, can-do attitude and pride in work
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team
* Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
Desirable
* Good standard of education
* Experience administering pension schemes
* Ability to work on own initiative
* Ability to see the ‘bigger picture’
