Job Title: Behaviour Mentor
Location:
A specialist provision in the heart of Ealing is looking for Behaviour Mentors to support primary and secondary aged children who need classroom support and mentorship for specific behavioural difficulties.
Training Provided:
Protocol Education, in partnership with Thrive, offers bespoke training courses to enhance understanding of behaviour and support strategies.
Salary:
£100 - £120 Per day
Job Description:
Job Duties:
The Behaviour Mentor will support students displaying challenging behaviour by working with teachers to implement behaviour management strategies, assess needs, develop support plans, monitor progress, and promote a safe, inclusive learning environment.
Required Qualifications:
* Experience working with individuals with challenging behaviour
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work effectively in a team
* Understanding of behaviour management techniques
Education:
A relevant qualification in Education, Psychology, or related fields is desirable.
Experience:
Previous experience in educational settings is preferred.
Knowledge and Skills:
* Knowledge of behaviour management strategies
* Ability to build rapport with students
* Strong problem-solving skills
* Understanding of safeguarding procedures
Preferred Qualifications:
* Certification in behaviour management or related fields
* Additional training in SEN
Working Conditions:
The role is primarily within a school setting, collaborating with staff and external agencies to support student development.
This is a temporary position with potential for permanency. All applicants must have appropriate qualifications and training, including a valid DBS check and subscription to the DBS Update Service. Protocol Education provides safeguarding training and conducts safeguarding checks in accordance with DfE guidance.
