We are looking for a proactive and highly organised PMO Lead to join our Strategic Business & Operational Services team. This is your opportunity to play a critical role in delivering impactful change across our organisation.
In this pivotal role, you will lead the daily operations of the Portfolio Management Office, ensuring that new work requests are managed seamlessly, projects are prioritised effectively, and robust governance processes are in place for effective change delivery. Your responsibilities will include developing frameworks, coordinating project resources, and acting as the central quality assurance hub for all corporate change activities.
Your expertise will help drive continuous improvement, foster collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, inspire and empower a team to create an environment where innovation thrives and strategic objectives are achieved.

It is essential that applicants meet the following criteria:
* Significant experience at management level, ideally within a change environment, demonstrating effective use of initiative, leadership and people management skills with experience of developing a team to achieve results.
* Previous experience of managing a team in a change/Portfolio Management Office environment in a large organisation.
* Extensive knowledge and application of project / programme management skills along with a recognised change qualification such as: PRINCE 2, Agile, MSP or P30.
* Excellent ICT skills with previous experience of utilising planning tools and the ability to develop and embed future O365 technology.
* Good understanding of business planning, benefits management, and target setting and monitoring.
* Excellent written, verbal and analytical skills including presentations and report writing skills, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and logical manner.
* Experience of successfully working collaboratively and building strong working relationships through developed interpersonal skills.
* Proven ability to analyse and interpret complex problems and use creative problem-solving skills to identify and implement solutions.
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to use own initiative, work under pressure and deliver to tight deadlines, whilst leading and working as a team.
* Strategic thinker being able to plan ahead and consider impacts of risks and potential mitigations, gaps and potential wider organisational tolerance.
It is desirable that applicants meet the following criteria:
* Benefits management/finance qualification.
* Understanding of the issues facing Norfolk and Suffolk Constabularies at a local, regional and national level.
* Graduate qualification in management or a business discipline
