We’re now looking for a skilled and customer-focused Service Desk Operator (First / Second Line Support) to join our technical services team on a fixed-term basis. About the role Your responsibilities will include the following: To deliver high quality first and second line technical support to colleagues across the Group. Logging, diagnosing, and resolving hardware and software related issues ensuring minimal disruption to daily operations. Manage a work tray of incidents and requests. Assist with the onboarding and offboarding of Staff (account administration and equipment configuration) Escalate complex incidents when needed to ensure swift resolution. Working hours and flexibility Core Hours 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday. Occasional early (8am) and late (6pm) cover as needed. Agile working model with at least 3 days per week in our Leyland office. Flexible working hours. What We Are Looking For To be successful in this role, you should have: Essential: Good organisational skills and the ability to manage your workload effectively Strong customer service orientation and ability to work under pressure Desire to work in an IT environment (demonstrable) Ability to work as part of a team and independently Desirable: Some IT background (educational or work experience) Confidence to communicate at all levels, both face-to-face and over the phone Experience in a fast-paced environment A Full U.K Driving Licence with access to own vehicle to travel between sites as required Why Progress?
