Applications are invited for a highly motivated individual to join the Cardiology team as a Cardiac Physiologist Helper at Croydon University Hospital Hospital which is part of Croydon Health Services NHS Trust. This is a very busy and demanding role and the successful candidate will need previous experience of working in a busy department/ ward.

Main duties of the job
The main role of the successful candidate will be to assist the Cardiac Physiologists in their daily clinical work as well as performing some clerical and office duties. You will also be taught how to perform ECG's and help with stock control for the department.
The main Cardiology Department is based in the Croydon Heart Centre along with a Cardiac Catheter Suite and Daycare Unit. It provides a comprehensive range of non-invasive procedures that include: ECG's, Ambulatory monitoring (ECG, Event and BP), Technician Led Exercise Tests, Adult Transoesophageal Echocardiography, Adult and Paediatric Transthoracic Echocardiography (including contrast, bubble studies and stress echo), There are also specialist Heart Failure, Valve and Rapid Access Chest Pain Clinics.
This post is based at Croydon University Hospital but there will be some days required at Purley and New Addington Community Diagnostic Centres.

Qualifications
* Good level of general education
* Demonstration of numeracy and literary skills
* Good command of written and spoken English
* GCSE Maths and English or equivalent qualification
Experience
* Experience of working as part of a multidisciplinary team
* Previous experience working in an NHS setting
* Experience of using an Electronic Patient Record e.g. Cerner Millenium
Knowledge and Understanding
* Willing and capable of undertaking training
* Demonstrates a basic understanding of the needs of a patient and the role of an NHS worker
