Offer description

Are you ready to shape quality performance on one of the UK’s most complex and nationally significant engineering programmes? Do you want to play a defining role in the safe, compliant, and technically demanding decommissioning of Dungeness A Power Station?

Joining our multi‑disciplinary team means stepping into the heart of a project where your expertise genuinely matters. You’ll influence decisions, strengthen compliance, and help embed excellence during a pivotal moment in the site’s lifecycle. If you’re motivated by challenge, responsibility, and the chance to make a meaningful contribution to engineering performance, this is an opportunity you won’t want to miss.

What Will You Be Doing

In this senior role, you’ll lead the assurance of quality performance across site and project delivery helping to shape how our teams operate and ensuring we meet the highest possible standards. You’ll provide trusted technical guidance, drive continuous improvement, and support major engineering workstreams with robust, compliant quality arrangements. This is a uniquely influential position, combining hands‑on oversight with strategic leadership. You’ll be at the centre of quality governance, making sure our Quality Management System meets ISO standards and that project teams are delivering safely, efficiently, and in full regulatory compliance. You’ll also support the development of staff and strengthen our culture of high‑quality, accountable delivery.

* Leading internal audits, reporting, and corrective action activity to assure performance.
* Driving the development and execution of the Site Quality Improvement Plan.
* Providing expert advice to engineering, project, and delivery teams on complex quality issues.
* Guiding the production and control of quality procedures, documentation, and performance reporting.

Who Are We Looking For

We’re looking for a credible, forward‑thinking quality professional who thrives in complex engineering environments. You’ll bring strong technical understanding, excellent judgement, and the confidence to influence senior stakeholders and delivery partners. Most importantly, you’ll have the drive to challenge, improve, and embed high standards across a critical national programme. You will already hold a degree‑level qualification in a technical or engineering discipline and be a member of a relevant professional body. Experience of working to ISO standards in engineering, manufacturing, or nuclear settings is essential, as is the ability to act as a Lead Auditor and ensure compliance within highly regulated environments. Alongside strong analytical skills and a proactive mindset, you’ll be committed to continuous improvement, teamwork, and delivering practical, effective solutions.

* Bring substantial experience of quality roles within engineering or regulated sectors.
* Understand ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 inside out and can lead audits with confidence.
* Communicate clearly, influence effectively, and collaborate across multi‑disciplinary teams.
* Have the organisation, resilience, and problem‑solving ability needed in a demanding project environment. #GREEN
