Offer description

Are you a confident, organised and professional communicator? Can you bring an approachable, determined attitude to help all our students achieve their full potential?

If you have answered yes to these questions then we want to hear from you!

At Hodgson Academy, we are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Attendance and Family Help Officer to join our thriving department. You will be a professional who embeds safeguarding into all attendance practice and ensures full compliance with current statutory guidance, including Working Together to Improve School Attendance, KCSIE, CME duties, and the national attendance framework.

By joining us, you become a key figure in our academy’s mission to raise standards of attainment and provide students from all backgrounds with the academic support to their future success. We pride ourselves on being a supportive, tight‑knit community where every voice is valued, contributions are celebrated, and teamwork makes a real difference every single day.

A day in your new role could see you:

* Deliver the school’s attendance pathway from early concern to persistent/severe absence, ensuring all steps show a support‑first approach.
* Complete whole‑family assessments; co‑produce Family Help Plans with SMART outcomes.
* Treat irregular attendance as a safeguarding indicator; work with the Safeguarding, Pastoral and SEND teams to triage and elevate concerns.
* Maintain live dashboards, cohort analysis, and early‑trigger monitoring.
* Promote whole‑school belonging, inclusion and consistent attendance routines.

If you’re ready to champion attendance, support families and help every student feel they truly belong, apply today and help us make a meaningful difference!
