We are looking for a reliable and kind-hearted Male Support Worker to join our friendly team in Northbourne, supporting Mason, a young man who lives independently in his own home.
Please note: Because of Mason’s specific support needs, this role is only open to male applicants. A full UK driving license is also required. Unfortunately, we are not able to offer visa sponsorship for this position.
About the Role
Mason is in his late twenties and lives in Northbourne. He has his own way of communicating, using a mix of PECS (Picture Exchange Communication System), his own hand signs, and gestures. Routine is really important to him, and he likes to start each day by planning out a schedule together with his support worker.
Mason enjoys a mix of active and quiet activities, such as:
Kicking a football around in the field with his support staff
Treating himself to a diet coke or flapjack from the local coffee shops
Trips away from home to spend valuable time with his family
Taking it easy at home with music, puzzles, or a tasty takeaway
We’re all about helping the people we support live life on their own terms—with confidence, independence, and dignity. If you’re someone who’s calm, patient, and genuinely enjoys helping others thrive, we’d love to hear from you.
