Development Designer
Hybrid | Warwickshire
£40-£50k -we're flexible for the right person
We're looking for a detail-driven designer to lead the technical side of our team, turning creative commercial interior concepts into precise design-intent packs and making sure every build stays true to the original vision.
In return, we'll take care of the details that matter to you – the things that turn an everyday job into a fulfilling career…
o
INVOLVEMENT:
You'll be an indispensable part of a small, experienced team who care about good ideas, clear thinking, and properly executed design
o RESPONSIBILITY:
We want you to lead on all technical aspects, from the first site survey to the finishing touches. You'll get to see your drawings turn into spaces that deliver real results for the businesses behind them.
o GROWTH:
Our clients love the work we deliver and more and more people are queuing up to work with us. We're ambitious and positive about the future – you could grow with us.
o VARIETY:
You'll enjoy a nice mix of work: startups, brands, independents and multiples spanning retail, health & wellbeing, cafes and workspaces. It would definitely make a refreshing change for someone who's banging out formulaic floorplans for the same old clients.
o
FLEXIBLITY:
We love being busy and working hard but we're pretty flexible about when and where you work best – for the right person, this could even be a part-time role.
What you'll add
You'll take pride on leading all technical aspects: from site surveys, space planning and producing technical packs/scope documents through to liaising with clients, suppliers and contractors on site to manage design intent and ensure the final build reflects the original vision.
Whether you're a Technical Designer, Development Designer or a fledgling Design Manager, you'll need
solid experience of delivering commercial interiors, ideally in retail, workspace, health or hospitality.
Beyond that, we're looking for someone who ticks as many of these boxes as possible:
* A degree in Product Design or Interior Architecture & Design or a related field, or equivalent experience.
* A whizz in AutoCAD
* You know your materials, finishes and production processes inside out (and back to front).
* Familiar with fit-out, construction and building regulations
* A clear communicator – you're as comfortable dealing with contractors and clients as you are with creatives.
