We are working with a supportive school in Hounslow seeking a patient, skilled and committed SEND TA to join their team for an immediate start.

The Role:
You will be supporting pupils with a range of additional needs, including ASD, SEMH and communication needs, either on a 1:1 basis or within a SEND unit.

* Previous experience working in a SEND school or SEND unit
* A calm, patient and resilient approach
* Strong understanding of SEND needs and support strategies

Key SEND Skills & Experience:
Communication & Interaction
* Use of visual timetables and structured routines
* Supporting non-verbal pupils
* Understanding of processing delays
Autism-Specific Strategies
* Sensory regulation strategies including sensory breaks and sensory diets
* Managing sensory overload and triggers
* Supporting rigidity and transitions
Behaviour & SEMH
* Effective de-escalation techniques
* Understanding of trauma-informed practice
* Implementing positive behaviour support plans
* Managing challenging behaviour safely
* Building emotional regulation strategies
Learning Support
* Differentiating work for low ability and SEN learners
* Supporting phonics, early literacy and numeracy
* Breaking tasks down into manageable steps
* Reinforcing learning through repetition and structure
EHCP & Progress Tracking
* Supporting EHCP targets
* Recording observations and pupil progress
* Working closely with the SENCO and class teacher
* Contributing to reviews where required (desirable)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
