You’ll step into a sole‑charge finance position, owning the full finance function end‑to‑end during a critical growth phase. The environment is low‑bureaucracy, delivery‑focused, and senior‑stakeholder facing.
The role
Reporting into the COO, you’ll be responsible for maintaining financial integrity, supporting strategic decision‑making, and ensuring robust compliance while keeping processes lean and scalable.
This is a hands‑on role combining day‑to‑day financial control with forward‑looking insight.
Key responsibilities
* Own the full finance function, from transactional processing to strategic reporting
* Maintain and evolve financial models for forecasting and scenario planning
* Produce monthly management accounts and board‑ready reporting
* Lead annual budgeting and in‑year reforecasting
* Manage cash flow, grant income, and restricted vs unrestricted funding
* Oversee payroll, VAT returns, and statutory compliance
* Lead the annual audit and preparation of statutory accounts
* Strengthen financial controls, approval workflows, and expense policies
* Identify and deliver process automation and efficiency improvements

About you
