At Dudley Associates we're looking to recruit a skilled and detail-oriented General Engineer/Machinist to join our toolmaking team, to help keep up with growing customer orders.
The successful candidate will have experience working in a machine shop environment with a desire to learn all aspects of plastic injection mould toolmaking.
This role offers an excellent opportunity to utilise a broad range of technical skills in a dynamic environment, contributing to product development.

Responsibilities
Set up and operate manual and CNC milling, turning, and grinding machines.
Manufacture precision components from technical drawings and specifications.
Assist with tool assembly, fitting, and maintenance as required.
Work with a variety of metals and engineering plastics.
Carry out quality checks to ensure all parts meet required standards.
Maintain workshop machinery and ensure a safe, tidy working environment.
Collaborate with other engineers and toolmakers to support ongoing projects.
Requirements
Time-served engineer or equivalent engineering qualification (e.g. NVQ, City & Guilds, HNC).
Proven experience as a machinist or general engineer in a precision manufacturing environment.
Ability to read and interpret detailed engineering drawings.
Strong understanding of machining processes and tooling.
Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a small, skilled team.
Knowledge of injection moulding tooling is advantageous but not essential.
