The successful SEN 1-1 TA – Barnet will provide specialized support to help their assigned pupil access the curriculum and develop vital social skills. As an SEN 1-1 TA – Barnet, you will implement tailored strategies and work under the guidance of the SENCO to meet specific EHCP targets. What You’ll Be Doing
1. Providing bespoke 1:1 support for a pupil with specific SEN requirements
2. Modifying learning materials to ensure they are accessible and engaging
3. Monitoring progress and providing detailed feedback to the class teacher
4. Assisting with the pupil’s emotional regulation and social integration
Essential Skills & Experience
5. Previous experience working with children with SEN (ASD or ADHD experience preferred)
6. A calm, patient, and adaptable approach to supporting learning
7. An understanding of how to implement individual education plans
8. A commitment to developing your skills through school-led education and training
