HAYS Architecture & Design NI are proud to be working in collaboration with a leading specialist within high‑end joinery and bespoke interior manufacturing, who are seeking a Design Co‑ordinator to join their growing design function. This organisation is recognised for deliveringplex, high‑quality projects across concept, tender and construction stages, and now requires additional design capability to support continued growth.
Your new role
You will coordinate joinery design information from early concept through to final construction, reviewing architect, interior designer and contractor drawings to ensure buildability and adherence to project specifications. You will manage drawing registers, revision control and approvals, issuing accurate information to production and procurement while ensuring every drawing reflects required materials, finishes, fixings, tolerances and assembly methods. You will play a key role in practical problem‑solving and value engineering, helping reduce cost and lead time by proposing efficient, workshop‑appropriate solutions. You will track design changes, assess their impact on cost and programme, and ensure revisions are clearlymunicated throughout the business. You will support quality control by aligning drawings with approved samples and mock‑ups and will carry out accurate site surveys as needed.
What you'll need to succeed
You will bring experience in joinery, fit‑out or bespoke furniture manufacturing, alongside a strong understanding of workshop processes and manufacturing constraints. Proficiency in AutoCAD is essential, with experience in SolidWorks, Fusion or Inventor considered an advantage. You will be confident interpreting architectural and interior design drawings, highly organised, detail‑focused andfortable working as part of a collaborative design and production team. A full driving licence is required.
