About Sika Operations
The Wishaw Operations Plant plays a vital role in supporting the UK construction industry, supplying high quality façade render products to both the new-build housing sector and the refurbishment market.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Engineering Apprentice to join our experienced Engineering Team. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience across a wide range of engineering activities, including:
* Planned and preventative maintenance
* Reactive maintenance and fault finding
* Continuous improvement initiatives
* Supporting capital investment (CAPEX) projects

Purpose of the Role
The purpose of the Engineering Apprentice role is to support the Engineering Team in maintaining the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of plant and equipment at the Wishaw Operations site, while developing the technical skills, knowledge, and behaviours required to become a fully competent engineer. The apprentice will contribute to planned and reactive maintenance activities, assist with continuous improvement and capital projects, and learn to work in full compliance with health and safety standards, engineering best practice, and site procedures. Through structured training and hands-on experience, the role is designed to build capability, ensure operational continuity, and support the long-term sustainability of the plant.

Train as an Engineering apprentice gaining the required skills & knowledge, leading to a successful completion & award of a NC in Electrical Eng & Diploma – Engineering level 7 with a route to an HNC in Mechatronics. Progressively working towards gaining all skills and experience required to fulfil the duties of a maintenance engineer.

Qualifications
What we need from you?
Minimum entry requirements are:
Four national 5 qualifications at Grade C or above, including Mathematics, English and a Science subject or :
National Qualification SCQF level 5 in Electrical, Electronic or Mechanical Engineering or :
Other equivalent qualifications or experience
