About the Role

Key responsibilities include:
* Planning and delivering high-quality Design Technology lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
* Supporting pupils’ development in practical, theoretical, and creative aspects of the subject
* Preparing pupils for GCSE examinations and assessments
* Monitoring and assessing pupil progress and providing constructive feedback
* Maintaining a safe and organised workshop environment
* Supporting departmental curriculum development and enrichment activities
* Participating in extracurricular clubs, competitions, and events
* Contributing to school initiatives and whole-school development
Experience and Skills
The successful candidate will:
* Hold QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
* Have excellent subject knowledge in Design Technology
* Be confident teaching across Key Stages 3 and 4
* Demonstrate strong classroom management skills
* Be able to motivate and inspire pupils of all abilities
* Work effectively within a collaborative department
* Be committed to professional development and continuous improvement
