Job Title: SEND Teaching Assistant Area: Oldham, Greater Manchester Start Date: Monday 23rd February 2026 Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent Salary: £525 - £600 per week / Competitive (dependent on experience and responsibilities) Working hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm About the school: We are seeking a compassionate and resilient SEND Teaching Assistant to join one of our specialist schools within a supportive and inclusive multi-academy trust. As part of our team, you will work closely with teachers and support staff to provide targeted assistance, helping pupils to access the curriculum, build confidence, and reach their full potential. About the role: Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with EHCPs and additional needs Assist the class teacher with lesson delivery, behaviour support, and tailored interventions Promote emotional regulation, independence, and positive routines throughout the school day Contribute to progress tracking and communicate regularly with the wider support team What We're Looking For: Ideally - experience supporting children with SEND (in a school or care setting) Someone with a nurturing and patient approach, with a genuine passion for supporting children with SEND Strong communication and teamwork skills Flexibility and resilience to meet the varying needs of pupils Strong understanding of Autism and SEND What would set you apart - relevant TA qualification To be eligible you must: Hold Right to Work in the UK Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service OR be willing to process a new application Provide two professional child related references If you would like to be considered for this role, please apply with a copy of your up to date CV.
