Are you a Year 1 Teacher with experience teaching in Key Stage 1? Looking for a new long‑term role?
We are seeking a dedicated Year 1 Teacher for a maternity cover position based in the heart of Peterborough. The school is rated Good by Ofsted and has a strong, supportive SLT. They pride themselves on being an inclusive environment with a vision to inspire pupils to love learning. The school caters for pupils aged 3-11, offers on‑site parking, and benefits from excellent transport links.
The Role - Year 1 Teacher
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience teaching Year 1 in a primary school setting.
Skilled in planning, preparing, and delivering all core subjects in line with the National Curriculum.
Able to work collaboratively with the Senior Leadership Team (SLT), SENCo and support staff to ensure all pupils receive appropriate support.
Confident supporting transition from EYFS into Key Stage 1, helping pupils settle and progress smoothly.
Hardworking, adaptable, and resilient, able to integrate quickly into a new school environment.
Known for being supportive, proactive, and reliable, hitting the ground running in the classroom.
Available to provide full maternity cover for one academic year, offering continuity and stability for pupils.
