CNC Turner Mazak / FanucLymington, HampshirePrecision Engineering | Aerospace | Defence | Oil & GasPermanent | Days ShiftOur client, a leading precision engineering manufacturer based in Lymington, is currently seeking an experienced CNC Turner to join their growing manufacturing team.Operating across highly regulated industries including aerospace, defence, oil & gas, marine, and telecommunications, the business specialises in the manufacture of complex, high-precision machined components and assemblies using state-of-the-art machining technology and advanced manufacturing processes.This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced CNC machinist looking to work within a technically advanced environment, producing precision-engineered components to extremely tight tolerances.The RoleThe successful candidate will be responsible forprogramming, setting, and operation of CNC lathes, producing small batch, high-precision components for demanding engineering sectors. This role would suit someone with strong experience operating within precision manufacturing environments and a solid background working with Mazak and/or Fanuc control systems.Key Responsibilities Programming, setting, and operating CNC lathesReading and editing CNC programsProducing high-precision machined components to tight tolerancesWorking from engineering drawings, stage drawings, and job cardsFollowing set-up sheets and manufacturing procedures accuratelyInterpreting technical drawings and GD&T requirementsEnsuring all work is completed in line with quality and safety standardsCarrying out work in accordance with the company's quality systems and safe systems of workWorking both independently and as part of a wider manufacturing teamCandidate Requirements: Essential Experience Minimum 3 years experience machining large components within a high-precision manufacturing environmentMinimum 5 years experience operating Mazak and/or Fanuc controlsExperience working from engineering drawings and manufacturing instructionsStrong understanding of geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T)Experience programming, setting, and operating CNC lathesBroad machining knowledge across a range of materials and applicationsStrong understanding of component handling and protection during manufactureRight to live and work in the UKDesirable Experience Knowledge of modern tooling and machining techniquesExperience programming Mazak and/or Fanuc controlsExperience using hydraulic and manual steadiesAerospace, defence, oil & gas, or highly regulated manufacturing experienceQualifications Engineering qualification (City & Guilds / NVQ or equivalent)Completed a recognised apprenticeship in mechanical engineeringSecurity Clearance eligibility desirableWorking Hours 39 hours per week: Monday Thursday: 6:45 am 3:30 pmFriday: 7:00 am 1:00 pmWhats on Offer Competitive salaryExcellent pension and life assurance scheme34 days holiday, including bank holidaysCareer development and progression opportunitiesHealth cash plan and wellbeing servicesEmployee assistance programmeCycle to Work schemeProfit-sharing schemeFree onsite parkingReward and recognition initiativesThis is a fantastic opportunity to join a highly respected precision engineering business operating at the forefront of advanced manufacturing across multiple critical industries.TPBN1_UKTJ
