Overview
Environment & Sustainability Risk & Compliance Leader - IFP. Permanent, Full Time. Location: UK (France, Italy and Germany can also be considered).
You’re not the person who will settle for just any role. This role supports Kimberly-Clark’s International Family Care & Professional (IFP) business, with a focus on environmental and sustainability compliance and risk management across the IFP portfolio. This role is part of a strategic partnership context with Suzano, with potential transfer to the new venture upon transaction close anticipated mid-2026, subject to consultation and legal requirements.
Responsibilities
* Collaborate with Sustainability, Supply Chain, Legal, R&D, Marketing and Finance to ensure compliance with environmental and sustainability policies, laws, regulations, and standards across assets, operations, products, materials and brands.
* Develop and deploy environmental and sustainability risk assessment processes; build capabilities, prioritize work by severity and likelihood; apply regional materiality assessments to support sustainability strategy and reporting requirements.
* Design and implement management controls validating compliance; report gaps and drive corrective/preventive actions.
* Lead and execute environmental and sustainability audits in the region with Health & Safety; develop audit reports and escalate gaps to stakeholders.
* Recommend, monitor and close environmental and sustainability compliance gaps; leverage digital systems to review audit data, perform trend analysis and drive systemic improvements.
* Utilize IMF, capital planning/governance, claims review/validation and other processes to verify compliance early in the innovation cycle and during project execution; communicate concerns and recommendations to leadership.
* Review, validate and approve product-related sustainability claims regionally and drive consistency and process improvements.
* Coordinate regional efforts to ensure pragmatic alignment of environmental and sustainability risk and compliance; provide support to Regional Sustainability Risk and Compliance Leaders.

Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, environmental economics or related field relevant to environmental and sustainability compliance or risk management in complex manufacturing.
* At least 10 years of experience in environmental and sustainability regulatory work, risk management, audits and controls.
* Working knowledge of current and evolving environmental and sustainability requirements in relevant jurisdictions (international, national, local).
* At least 3 years of experience in environmental and sustainability risk assessment and management, including financial considerations, in climate, energy, nature and products.
* At least 3 years of experience developing controls to ensure compliance and conducting environmental and sustainability audits.
* Ability to communicate complex legal or internal requirements to all levels and advise leaders in Supply Chain, collaborating with Risk Management, Legal, R&D, Regulatory Affairs, Government Relations and Compliance & Ethics.
* Willingness to travel up to 40% to support business needs and audits.
