About the Role
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Occupational Health Advisor to join our team in Port Sunlight. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality occupational health services, including clinical activities such as vaccinations, phlebotomy, health surveillance, medical assessments, and complex case management. You will work autonomously and as part of a multi-disciplinary team to provide expert advice, promote health and wellbeing, and ensure compliance with professional and company standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Clinical Practice & Standards
o Work within the NMC Code of Conduct and professional scope of practice.
o Deliver high standards of occupational health services in line with company policies and best practice.
o Undertake clinical services including health surveillance, fitness to work medicals, vaccinations, and phlebotomy.
* Case Management
o Provide professional occupational health case management advice to the client.
o Manage complex referrals and support early return-to-work strategies.
* Health Promotion & Education
o Advise employers and employees on health issues, wellbeing initiatives, and health promotion activities.
o Attend, present, and host wellness and health promotion events for the client.
* Collaboration & Teamwork
o Work with the client’s multi-disciplinary team to meet service level agreements.
o Mentor and support new team members during induction and training.
* Compliance & Administration
o Ensure all clinical documentation is accurate, confidential, and GDPR compliant.
o Fully utilise company IT systems and contribute to continuous improvement.
o Maintain CPD records to meet NMC revalidation requirements.
Requirements
Essential:
* Occupational Health degree/diploma & active NMC registration.
* Demonstrable experience in occupational health practice.
* Trained in health surveillance, vaccinations, phlebotomy, and fitness to work medicals.
* Proven competency in managing complex case management referrals.
Desirable:
* Previous experience in a commercial or corporate OH environment.
* Experience delivering workplace health promotion activities.
Core Skills
* Excellent organisational and time management skills.
* Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
* Ability to work to protocols and professional standards.
* Awareness of personal development needs and willingness to undertake training.
