As the Estimator you will work closely with the preconstruction team on the compilation and submission of winning tenders for a range of projects from GBP5m to GBP15m in value.
Day to day duties:
* Arrange site inspections
* Provide accurate budgets/cost plans
* Provide detailed take:off and Bill of Quantities (BQ)
* Work on traditional Plan and Specification, Design and Build and possibly Partnered Contracts
* Obtain competitive prices for materials and sub:contract packages
* Oversee or complete quote analysis comparisons
* Check and amend rate/price build:ups where necessary
Qualifications and Skills:
* Proven experience as an Estimator with a regional / national contractor
* Proficiency in estimating software and tools
* Strong analytical and mathematical skills
* Attention to detail and accuracy
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills
* Ability to work effectively in a fast:paced environment and meet deadlines
