About the Role As a Lead Integration Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining integration solutions across various platforms, including Guidewire InsuranceSuite and other core systems. You will lead a team of developers, collaborate with stakeholders, and ensure the delivery of integration projects that meet business and technical requirements. What will you do? Lead the design and implementation of integration solutions using APIs, web services, and messaging systems.
Collaborate with business analysts and architects to define integration requirements and strategies.
Develop and maintain integration components using technologies such as Java, REST/JSON, XML, and Enterprise Messaging Systems.
Ensure integration solutions adhere to security, compliance, and performance standards.
Manage and mentor a team of integration developers.
Conduct code reviews and enforce best practices in integration development.
Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues across environments.
Participate in sprint planning, standups, and retrospectives.
Drive continuous improvement and innovation in integration practices.
Support system testing and user acceptance testing phases with defect triage and resolution.
What are we looking for? 8+ years of software development experience with a strong focus on system integration.
Proficiency in Java/J2EE, REST/JSON, XML, SQL, Spring, Hibernate, and messaging systems (e.g., JMS).
Experience with integration platforms and middleware (e.g., MuleSoft, Apache Camel, Azure Integration Services, and AWS Integration Services).
Experience with cloud platforms (Azure/AWS) and cloud-native integration patterns.
Familiarity with Guidewire or other Core Insurance COTS platforms is highly desirable.
Strong understanding of Agile/Scaled Agile Framework and SDLC processes.
Experience with configuration and ticket management tools (e.g., Git, Azure DevOps, JIRA).
Proven leadership experience in managing and mentoring technical teams.
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Insurance domain experience, particularly in Property & Casualty / General Insurance, is preferred.
Prior client-facing experience and solution design expertise.
What is nice to have? Exposure to data analytics and digital UX integration.
