Job Description
Service Care Solutions are recruiting on behalf of a local authority in Leicestershire for an Interim Transactional Finance Team Manager to join the team on a temporary basis. The postholder will lead a high-performing financial services function. This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional with strong leadership skills and a passion for continuous improvement to oversee critical transactional finance operations and drive service excellence across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead, motivate and develop the transactional finance team, ensuring high levels of performance, customer service, and accountability across all areas of financial operations.
* Oversee the delivery of accurate and timely financial transactions, reconciliations, month-end processes, and reporting in line with corporate and statutory deadlines.
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives across transactional finance functions, implementing efficient processes, strong financial controls, and system enhancements.
* Monitor and report on key performance indicators, ensuring service standards are achieved while supporting wider organisational financial governance and compliance objectives.
Candidate Criteria
* Proven experience managing transactional finance functions, including payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, banking, reconciliations, and financial controls.
* Strong leadership and people management skills, with a track record of developing high-performing teams and driving service improvements.
* Excellent knowledge of financial management processes, internal controls, governance requirements, and performance management frameworks.
* Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence, present information clearly, and work collaboratively across a complex organisation.
Referral Bonus
A £250 referral bonus will be paid once the referred candidate completes their probationary period and is placed into work.
