Your new role
As an SEN Support Assistant, you will provide one‑to‑one personal support for pupils with additional needs who are in receipt of an Education Health Care Plan. You will give special educational and/or medical support to ensure their successful engagement with and access to learning. You will need to maintain professional records and appropriate notes in relation to the individual pupil.
Responsibilities
* Provide one‑to‑one personal support to pupils with additional needs, including planning and implementing support strategies.
* Deliver special educational and medical support in line with Education Health Care Plans.
* Maintain accurate and professional records and notes for each pupil.
* Collaborate with teachers, parents and external professionals to support pupil progress.
Qualifications / Competencies
Candidates should possess relevant skills and experience for the role. Essential criteria include:
* Experience working with pupils with additional needs.
* Understanding of Education Health Care Plans and SEN frameworks.
* Excellent communication and record‑keeping skills.
* Commitment to the welfare and progress of pupils.
