The Role: As a Learning Support Assistant, your responsibilities will include: Providing targeted support to students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), both in class and in small intervention groups. Assisting teachers in creating an inclusive and stimulating learning environment. Supporting pupils with a range of needs including autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) challenges. Helping to manage classroom behaviour and promoting positive social interactions. Supporting the implementation of individual education plans (IEPs) and Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs). Offering emotional support and helping students to build confidence and resilience in their learning. What We’re Looking For: Previous experience working with children or young people, particularly those with additional needs (school, youth work, care, or community roles are all relevant). A calm, patient, and empathetic approach. A strong team player with a proactive and positive attitude. Good communication and interpersonal skills. A genuine passion for inclusive education and supporting the progress of all learners. A DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one through GSL Education. Why Work with GSL Education?
