Year 1 Class Teaching Assistant Location: Nuneaton, CV1 Pay Rate: £460 - £500 per week Contract: Full-time, Long-term Start Date: ASAP Are you an adaptable Teaching Assistant with experience supporting pupils in EYFS and Key Stage 1? Long Term Futures are working with a welcoming primary school in the CV1 area seeking a dedicated Year 1 Class Teaching Assistant to provide both whole-class support and targeted interventions. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys helping children transition from Reception to Year 1, and who can bring patience, creativity, and strong curriculum knowledge to support pupil progress. Key Responsibilities: Provide classroom support in a Year 1 class, working alongside the teacher Support pupils with varying needs, including 1:1 and small group interventions Assist with phonics, early literacy, and numeracy development Help children with their social, emotional, and behavioural needs in a nurturing way Adapt learning approaches to suit different learning styles Contribute to a positive, inclusive classroom environmentCandidate Requirements: Previous experience in EYFS and/or KS1 settings A relevant Level 2 or 3 TA qualification (or equivalent) is desirable Strong understanding of the EYFS and KS1 curriculum Adaptable, patient, and supportive in approach Experience supporting children with SEN or additional needs beneficialWhy Work with Long Term Futures?
