This is a part-time Consultant Psychiatrist role at the Gateway Recovery Centre in Widnes, Cheshire. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing care and treatment for men and women in specialist inpatient, rehabilitation, and low secure settings. The Consultant Psychiatrist will be responsible for providing RC and consultant psychiatrist input to inpatients, carrying a caseload of 8-12 patients, participating in a low-frequency second-on-call rota, assessing new referrals, providing leadership to the clinical team, contributing to clinical governance and service development, maintaining relationships with external agencies, and contributing to training and education.

Your responsibilities will include:

* Contributing to training and education
To be successful in your application, you will need:
* To hold MRCPsych or equivalent
* CCT in general adult psychiatry, forensic psychiatry, psychiatry of LD or medical psychotherapy preferred. Experienced candidates not on the specialist register but with AC status will be considered.
* Full GMC registration and an appraisal within the last 12 months
* Section 12 (2) approval and AC status
* Experience of working within an MDT in providing care for patients with complex needs

Person Specification
To be successful in this role, the candidate must hold the MRCPsych or equivalent, and have a CCT in general adult psychiatry, forensic psychiatry, psychiatry of LD or medical psychotherapy. They must also have full GMC registration, have had an appraisal within the last 12 months, have Section 12 (2) approval and AC status, and have experience of working within an MDT in providing care for patients with complex needs.
