Job Role - SEN Tutor / SEN Teacher

We offer our Tutors highly rewarding assignments that are both challenging and fulfilling, with the opportunity to make a real difference in students' lives.

Alongside this, we provide flexibility and ongoing professional support to ensure your success.

At Tutor Doctor, we guarantee a minimum of 5 hours of work per week (Monday to Friday), with the option to extend up to 25 hours if desired and potentially even further!


Main Responsibilities

* Delivering personalised 1:1 tuition in the Solihull area.
* Preparing and delivering tutoring sessions to best meet the student's SEN requirements - particularly ADHD and ASC/ASD.
* Develop individual curriculum for students.
* Clarifying and teaching subject matter.
* Assessing and reporting on students' knowledge on a regular basis.
* Being a mentor to students.
* Ensuring the safeguarding of the students you work with.


Qualifications And Skills

Our ideal Tutors:

* Are experienced in working with SEN students
* MUST be a qualified primary or secondary school teacher with 2+ years' experience.
* Have a good working knowledge of how to work with SEN students
* Care about helping their students improve and achieve academically.
* Have excellent communication skills.
* Are flexible, organised and reliable.
* Have their own transport and are happy to work in students' homes.


Key Requirements

* Demonstrated success in a Teaching or Tutoring role.
* Ideally have QTS
* Passionate about helping students and young people grow and achieve.
* Outstanding record of academic achievement.
* Be committed to the safeguarding of all young people.
* Able to work evenings and weekends.
* DBS certification.
