Responsibilities
* Lead, manage and support your care team to ensure high quality care and service for all residents.
* Ensure care plans are regularly reviewed, and continuously assess, plan, implement, and evaluate residents’ care.
* Engage with residents in conversation at a level and pace that respects their individuality, dignity and communication preferences.
* Administer and record medication as prescribed, accurately monitoring drug dosage for each resident.
* Preserve and promote each resident’s dignity and independence at all times.
* Encourage residents to achieve the highest quality of life that is right for them.
* Support residents in participation of discussions relating to their daily living arrangements.
* Assist with each resident’s personal care where necessary.
Qualifications
To be successful, you will have a genuine caring nature and a desire to make a real difference for residents. Prior experience as a Support Worker or Care Assistant is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided. The role requires patience, understanding and respect for residents’ individual abilities, as many have mental health conditions, learning disabilities and physical disabilities.
