In Kirklees recruitment is fast paced and varied. There have been some massive developments over the last two years, we have a market leading ATS, a careers site, a refreshed policy statement and toolkit, greater automation of deloyment and Management Information to support an intelligence driven function – we’re not standing still, this is a chance to keep those developments moving forward. You’ll focus on helping the organisation approach it’s recruitment needs in a modern, flexible and inclusive way, whether that be through deployment, internal advertising or external recruitment.
Areas of responsibility include:
* Advice and guidance on recruitment across the organisation
* keeping up to date with best practice and internal and external factors affecting recruitment.
* Ensuring recruitment practices meet legislative, regulatory and sector specific requirements
* Lead on People Panel arrangements
* Oversight of and reporting on deployment activity
* Operational contract management of the ATS
* Management of the team
* Internal and external stakeholder management
As the council expert in this area you’ll need HR experience with a depth of understanding and experience of recruitment as well as an understanding of broader resourcing, a passion for recruitment and the value it adds to the organisation is critical. You’ll need to be familiar with both internal and external market challenges and opportunities and understand the impact in the context of Kirklees and the wide range of recruitment needs across council services and schools. You’ll need a creative, outcomes and solutions focused approach with the ability to engage across the organisation and beyond. The ability to keep up to date with fast paced agendas and make practice and process changes to reflect changes and continuously improve is key. You’ll work well in a deadline driven environment and be able to adapt with resilience to the changing needs of the organisation.
