Veterinary Care Assistants are involved in all areas of patient and customer care and are well-supported by a friendly and devoted team. The clinic is spacious, modern and well-equipped, and has close links with the Hendon 24 Hour Hospital where cases are often transferred. It is essential that you drive, for this reason. As a Veterinary Care Assistant (VCA) you will support the nurse and vets with in-patient procedures and pet care delivering exceptional care to our clients, patients, and colleagues. VCAs work a 40 hour week: Monday to Friday at Temple Fortune, with one in three weekends at the Hendon 24 Hr Hospital. Time worked at the weekend earns a weekday off the following week. VCAs take part in the bank holiday and on-call rotas too, and can expect up to four bank holiday shifts and four weeks of on-call per year.
