FT Recruitment Group are recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their growing commercial team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a driven professional to take ownership of both pre- and post-contract responsibilities across a diverse portfolio of projects. This role will manage all financial aspects of projects, from tender stage through to final accounts. Working closely with internal teams, subcontractors and clients, you’ll ensure value for money, robust cost control, and accurate reporting while maintaining high standards in safety, quality and environmental compliance. Main duties include: Prepare tender and contract documentation, bills of quantities and cashflow forecasts Conduct cost analysis, valuations and commercial reporting Support risk/value management and provide commercial advice Manage subcontract procurement and documentation Prepare interim valuations, final accounts and claims support Maintain contract administration systems and document registers Work collaboratively with project teams to deliver on financial targets Suitable candidates should have the following: Minimum 3 years’ experience in a QS or Estimator role within construction/civils HND (or above) in Quantity Surveying Strong commercial acumen with excellent analytical and communication skills Confident working independently and as part of a wider team Familiar with ISO 9001, 14001 & 45001 principles (advantageous) Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with construction-related software beneficial Candidates should be based locally to the Aberdeen area, and must hold the Right to Work in the UK.
