Belmont Recruitment are currently seeking experienced Support Workers to join our rehabilitation team based in the Sunderland area. These are temporary ongoing assignments working 32 hours per week.
Overview
The service provides high quality intermediate care to adults in need of rehabilitation, reablement, and convalescence before returning home. As part of the team, the incoming Support Workers will work closely with Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, and other visiting health and social care professionals to support individuals who have experienced illness or trauma, often following a hospital stay.
You will play a vital role in helping people achieve their goals by ensuring their individual needs are met and supporting them to access their personal therapy plans.
Main Duties
* Supporting customers with meals, dressing, and personal care
* Assisting with medication management
* Supporting with mobility and cognitive stimulation
* Working with individuals to achieve outcomes that enable them to continue to regain their independence
* Encouraging and motivating individuals to participate in daily activities and therapeutic exercises
* Monitoring progress and reporting any changes in condition or wellbeing to the wider care team
Essential Criteria
* Prior Support Work experience in a similar setting
* NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care, or equivalent
* Enhanced DBS clearance
* Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships
* A drive to deliver high quality services with dignity and respect
* Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and bank holidays on a rota basis
* Availability to work 32 hours per week (7am–10pm on a rota)
