Connexions Personal Advisor (Careers Advisor) Connexions Bury
Are you passionate about helping young people shape their futures? Connexions Bury is looking for a dedicated Connexions Personal Advisor to provide expert careers information, advice, and guidance to support young people as they transition beyond post-16 education.
About the Role
In this role, you will:
* Empower young people by identifying their needs, abilities, and barriers to progression.
* Provide tailored support through effective partnership working, referrals, and signposting.
* Work independently in various settings, adapting flexibly to young people's needs.
* Deliver engaging one-to-one guidance sessions and group workshops.
* Apply innovative approaches when working with NEET (Not in Education, Employment, or Training) young people .
* Collaborate with partners to ensure seamless support and progression opportunities.
* Contribute as part of a team delivering our UKSPF programme .
About You
We are seeking a committed professional with:
* A qualification in working with young people equivalent to NVQ Level 4 (such as Youth Work, Careers Guidance, Social Work, or Teaching) OR relevant experience in the field.
* A QCF Level 6 in Careers Guidance and Development (preferred but not essential).
* Strong communication and partnership-building skills to effectively support young people.
* A results-driven approach, meeting service targets and deadlines with confidence.
Working Hours & Conditions
* 22.2 hours per week, based around the usual business working week.
* Some rota-based work may be required, depending on service needs.
