Role and Responsibilities
* Provide electrical and mechanical support and repairs for all production equipment and site services
* Carry out PPMs, reactive maintenance and project work
* Working on conveyors, food production and packaging machinery, PLCs, mixers, rollers, ovens, freezers, automation and controls, control panels, steam systems, robotics, wrappers, baggers
* Carry out planned maintenance activities to ensure plant safety and reliability
* Dealing with pneumatics, inverters, compressors, pumps, gearboxes, motors, sensors
* Project engineering: hands‑on equipment upgrades and continuous improvements
* Utilise the CMMS systems fully and assist in its development
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
* Must be an experienced multi‑skilled engineer but have a strong mechanical bias
* Previously have worked in food or FMCG manufacturing/production
* Qualified to HNC/HND level preferably or NVQ Level 3 Engineering as a minimum
* MUST have completed a UK based time‑served‑apprenticeship
* Able to work well under pressure in a busy manufacturing environment
* Positive and driven character
* Knowledge of continuous improvements and project work
* 17th or 18th Edition qualified beneficial
* Working knowledge of CMMS systems
