The Scheme Operations Analyst will be required to work flexibly supporting the Low Carbon Contracts Company's Operations Hub team. The Operations Hub team sits under the CFO and includes the Change and Settlements functions. The Scheme Operations Junior Analyst will play a pivotal role in scheme management focused on the critical settlement, operational and compliance activities.
This vacancy represents an ideal opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to develop a deep understanding of the operations and implementation of the Schemes LCCC administers through a supporting role. The Scheme Operations Analyst role will be centred around providing operational and secretariat support, document management and governance, and risk management.
The role will work with a broad range of stakeholders across LCCC and manage a variety of tasks including meeting facilitation and secretariat support, stakeholder coordination, upholding document governance, and managing risk log upkeep.
Experience of administrative and operational support, document management, and working collaboratively with operations teams is highly desirable. Specific knowledge of the Energy industry is desirable but not essential.
The role will champion the delivery of operational excellence throughout LCCC including document control, data management and governance and coordination activities.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide secretariat and administrative support for operational meetings and team activities
* Document management and control on behalf of the Operations Hub
* Developing internal document management governance for internal stakeholders
* Ensuring formatting and presentation consistency across documents and outputs and performing periodic reviews
* Supporting operational data analytics and validation
* Risk log management and upkeep
* Producing report summaries of risks, issues, and KPIs ahead of governance meetings
* Inbox and service desk management
* Triage and categorisation of queries. Routing queries and requests to relevant teams
* Stakeholder coordination and maintenance of stakeholder lists
* Supporting continuous improvement activities and operational projects

* Good attention to detail, particularly in document preparation, formatting, and version control

* Ability to communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders, including senior leadership
* Able to grasp complex concepts and capture key information without knowing the subject matter
* Able to use logic and reasoning to identify improvements or alternative solutions to problems
* Self‑starter: Comfortable working with limited guidance and minimal supervision
* Ability to work with data at a basic level (e.g., data entry, validation, simple spreadsheets)
* Competent with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
* Comfortable learning new systems, platforms, and workflows
* Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and proactive approach to problem‑solving
* An interest in automation and automation tools
* Ability to explain technical scenarios/issues to non‑technical audience
* Knowledge and understanding of business processes
* Qualification or training in ISO 9001, ISO 27001, or a similar document management / quality management system
* Experience using document management platforms (e.g., SharePoint, Confluence)
* Experience coordinating meetings or supporting governance forums
* Understanding of the current UK energy policy landscape and regulations
