Ideally 3 hours a fortnight in the evening term time on a Monday or Tuesday and then for a 6 hour day out in half terms instead. But we are happy to arrange a more flexible schedule for the right person. Supporting a lively, happy, 6 year old sensory seeking little girl, who loves to jump, climb, and has special interests in Frozen and Trolls. The little girl has sensory processing disorder, autism, and is non verbal, but uses pecs, Makaton, and hand gestures to communicate. She can also suffer with migraines, seizures and cyclic vomiting, but they are well controlled at the moment. She can require administration of medications. To begin with you will be required to work at the family's home, supporting with playtime and bedtime routines to build up a relationship with the child. The role will eventually involve taking her out to places of interest such as parks, local attractions and soft play. Due to her lack of danger awareness, she will need constant supervision to ensure she is safe and does not elope or harm herself or others.
