The Role
We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated Economics A Level Teacher to join our Secondary School and Sixth Form in Bexley. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality Economics teaching at Key Stage 5, ensuring excellent outcomes for students and contributing to the continued success of the Sixth Form.
As an Economics A Level Teacher, you will plan and deliver engaging lessons, assess and track student progress, and support learners to achieve their full academic potential. You will work collaboratively within the department and contribute to the wider school community.
Main Responsibilities
1. Teach Economics at A Level, delivering well-planned and engaging lessons
2. Monitor, assess, and report on student progress in line with school policies
3. Maintain high expectations of achievement, behaviour, and engagement
4. Contribute to curriculum development and enrichment opportunities
5. Support the pastoral and academic development of Sixth Form students
Person Specification
Essential:
6. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS)
7. Experience of teaching within a UK mainstream secondary school
8. Strong subject knowledge of Economics at A Level
9. Ability to inspire, challenge, and motivate students
10. Commitment to inclusive practice and high standards
Desirable:
11. Experience teaching in a Sixth Form setting
12. Willingness to contribute to extracurricular and enrichment activities
