As part of our continued growth, we now have a fantastic opportunity for a 1:1 Learning Support Assistant to join our close-knit team at Longdon Hall School, part of Acorn Education.
About the Role
Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of young people? As a Learning Support Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in supporting our teachers to deliver creative, personalised learning experiences that meet the diverse needs of our pupils.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone beginning or continuing their career in education—especially if you're motivated to inspire and support pupils with varied and complex needs. You’ll be part of a school where safeguarding is paramount, pupils are respected and heard, and quality is at the heart of everything we do.
What You'll Do:
1. Provide 1:1 and small group support to help pupils engage and learn effectively
2. Assist teachers with lesson planning and delivery
3. Prepare classrooms and learning materials to create a stimulating environment
4. Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils to encourage interaction and progress
While experience in SEN/ASC settings is desirable, we value your motivation, resilience, and personal qualities just as highly. We welcome applicants from customer-facing roles such as retail, hospitality, and leisure who are ready to make a meaningful impact.

Requirements:
5. GCSE Grade C or above in Maths and English
6. Full UK Driving Licence (preferred)
7. Calm, engaging, resilient, and a strong team player
