What you’ll achieve:
The Director, Product Management provides strategic leader to the company and the Product Management Team. The primary goal is to lead the global product management function to grow our product portfolio and position Outseer as the leading Fraud Solution software provider in the world.
This role is instrumental in driving our product portfolio's growth, positioning our company as a leading provider in the industry. By collaborating with teams and stakeholders across the organization, they will ensure alignment with business goals, leverage market trends and insights, and transform concepts into sustainable products that drive profit.
Essential Duties
Strategic Leadership
1. Be a strategic partner to the business, positioning Outseer as an industry leader.
2. Support defining the production strategy and roadmap
3. Execute the product strategy and roadmap in alignment with company goals and market trends.
4. Define product vision, and set product goals, objectives, and key metrics to measure success.
5. Identify opportunities for innovation, expanding the portfolio's reach and maintaining a competitive advantage.
6. Analyze the competitive landscape, identify threats, and develop strategies for market positioning and expansion.
7. Invest time in understanding markets, competitors, and challenges within the competitive landscape where Outseer products exist. Collaborate with marketing and other groups to maintain competitive analyses and identify market trends and opportunities.
Product Management
8. Define the product vision, goals, objectives, and key metrics for measuring success.
9. Oversee the entire product lifecycle from concept to post-launch success, ensuring quality and customer satisfaction.
10. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering and architecture, to drive product initiatives.
11. Develop and manage value-based pricing.
12. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, marketing, sales, and customer success, to ensure successful product launches and ongoing product improvements.
13. Evaluate and prioritize product requirements based on business value, customer needs, and market trends, including managing competing demands in consultation with the executive leadership team.
14. Own the methodology for proactively sourcing and managing internal and external requirements into the product roadmap within an Agile development framework.
15. Uphold a user-centered software design philosophy and ensure comprehensive documentation of written specifications and/or stories.
16. Lead and participate in cross-functional product and feature team discussions and demonstrations.
17. Ensure proposed solutions align with customer requirements and commitments, motivating and guiding product teams to deliver software on time and within budget.
18. Identify key risk areas/opportunities, address them, and demonstrate transparency in day-to-day actions related to product development and feature releases.
19. Lead through influence, removing blockages hindering team functionality, and set an example for effective information sharing and communication of the product vision.
Customer Focus
20. Build strong relationships with customers and partners, understanding their challenges and evolving the product offering to address their needs.
21. Represent the voice of the customer internally, socializing learnings and insights to inform product decisions.
22. Conduct market research and gather customer feedback to continuously improve product offerings.
23. Manage the participation in industry and market working groups, including the ownership of customer advisory boards.
Department Development and Management
24. Lead the Product Management team, fostering a culture of pride and passion for the business.
25. Develop and nurture a high-performing Product Management team, providing coaching, feedback, and growth opportunities.
26. Ensure the team has the necessary skills and expertise to deliver the product roadmap effectively.
27. Foster diversity and inclusion in team composition, attracting and retaining top talent.
28. Establish a culture of product excellence and lead a team of product managers and owners to deliver on the company's product vision.
Communication and Collaboration
29. Act as a compelling storyteller, translating product features and roadmaps into engaging offerings for internal and external stakeholders.
30. Act as the product evangelist at events, trade shows, with analysts, and the press. Collect and analyze data for product decisions, including customer surveys, partner input, market research, and feedback from various sources.
31. Partner with Engineering leadership to optimize resource allocation and maximize value creation.
32. Facilitate frequent and continuous interactions between the Product team and customers, researching market needs, and advocating for customer-centric solutions.
33. Stay current on competitive analysis and provide relevant information to Product Marketing, Sales, and Engineering. Assist in creating and delivering product demonstrations for internal and external audiences as needed.
Desired Requirements
34. Bachelor’s degree required / MBA preferred.
35. 15+ years of Product Management experience with a focus on building and growing Software on premises and in the cloud.
36. 10+ years of senior leadership and management experience in product management for a software company.
37. Minimum 5+ years of direct team/department leadership experience.
38. Experience in the software industry, particularly in fraud prevention, payments, or cybersecurity, is highly desirable.
39. Inspire, rally, and engage the entire company with a powerful well-communicated product strategy and create excitement in external stakeholders and investors.
40. Ability to establish credibility and rapport with a broad set of executives and cross functional peer groups.
41. Be an expert in making data-driven decisions and adept at building measuring and reporting against fundamental business metrics and experiments.
42. Ability to envision and define product strategy with prior success in managing a scalable product portfolio with increase in profitability.
43. Strong communicator with an ability to influence and drive cross-functional collaboration; ability to create clarity and drive focus in a complex and dynamic context.
44. Excellent strategic thinking and business acumen, with the ability to align product strategies with company goals and market trends.
45. Extensive knowledge of product management methodologies, processes, and best practices.
