Responsibilities
* Deliver engaging and thought-provoking History lessons across KS3 and KS4.
* Guide students through GCSE History coursework and exam preparation.
* Incorporate diverse historical perspectives and source analysis into lessons.
* Work alongside the department to enhance the History curriculum with contemporary research.
* Support extracurricular activities such as historical debates, museum visits, and research projects.
* Develop and manage historical research projects.
* Organize and lead historical site visits.
* Maintain and manage History department resources and equipment.
* Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback.
* Contribute to the development and implementation of History department policies and procedures.
Qualifications and Experience
* Degree in History or a related field.
* PGCE or QTS.
* Experience teaching History up to KS4.
* Ability to inspire students and plan engaging lessons.
* Strong assessment skills and knowledge of historical research methodologies.
