* Prepare accurate financial statements in compliance with regulatory standards.
* Support month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely reporting.
* Assist in maintaining compliance with tax regulations and statutory requirements.
* Provide financial analysis to support decision‑making processes.
* Reconcile accounts, ensuring accuracy and resolving discrepancies promptly.
* Collaborate with internal teams to improve financial processes and controls.
* Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of accounting standards and industry regulations.
Profile
A Successful Financial Accountant Should Have
* A professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, or CIMA).
* Previous experience in financial reporting and compliance within a relevant industry.
* Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
* Proficiency in financial software and tools.
* An understanding of accounting standards and tax regulations.
* Excellent communication skills to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
* Able to commute to our client's office in Derby.
